This eye looking upwards fish was originally bred by the Chinese for keeping in bowls inside houses to enable them to eat any insects that would land in the water, thus keeping the flying insect at bay in people’s homes. This sky starring fish does actually look a little bit more weird than the Bubbleye but again many people just fall in love with this fish. It has become a very rare variety now as it fell out of favour with the breeders a few years back consequently it puts this fish in the category of the rare Breeds and is hard to find now. It is a very hardy fish believe it or not and again real characters especially when they get a little older.
