Yes, this variety I guess is a bit of a marmite situation, many people find this fish really ugly, a tad harsh I think, but on the other hand many people are drawn to the wonderful eye shape and the fact this fish has no dorsal fin. They are actually not as delicate as you think and although the eye sacs are full of fluid they do not burst readily, overall this is quite a tough sort of Variety and quite a powerful swimmer. They are real characters in the Aquarium and definitely hold their own when it comes to feeding time. We have handled some significant ones of these over the years, and when they reach maturity look quite incredible.
